Candida Höfer is renowned for her large-scale, meticulously composed photographs of public interiors, such as museums, theaters, and concert halls, which are strikingly devoid of human presence. Her series “Bibliotheken” highlights the serene and majestic interiors of libraries around the globe, capturing their architectural beauty and cultural significance through precise composition and natural light. Höfer’s acclaimed work has been exhibited in prestigious venues, including the Louvre, the Hermitage Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
